Origin/Backstory: With Greenpoint Seeds advertising some of the cheapest seeds in the business, I had to give them a shot. I acquired a few of their Stardog and Monster Cookie hybrids. I selected this particular cross looking for an "ultimate indica." I certainly did not look in the wrong place! I popped several seeds and got 1 female. This is her, a great balance of both parents.
Appearance: Gorgeously-sparkling, the flowers from this variety are chunky and dense, completely covered in white trichomes, and has spike-like calyxes protruding from the thin stems. The calyx to leaf ratio is good. The bright colors of light green buds and bright orange pistils combined with the extreme resin production of this strain gives it an extremely high bag appeal. I'd put her up there with Gorilla Glue #4 and Krome's White cut.
Aroma: The aroma of this strain is nothing short of amazing. As enticing as a batch of freshly baked cookies, this strain contains a plethora of scents. Notes reminiscent of both the White cut as well as Master Kush are in the forefront. It is compost-like and mushroomy, while still maintaining very noticeable tones of middle eastern spice and hashish. When one inhales deeper with eyes closed, one senses exotic spice, cookie dough, bitter lemon peels/lemon pledge, and strong roadkill skunk. The lemon becomes more pronounced over a long cure and after breaking open flowers to pack a bowl or roll a joint.
Flavor: Beautifully translating to flavor, WMMC gives notes of bitter lemon peel and spicy hash-like flavors from the Master Kush. Cookie dough and compost are present as well. While rare for a strain's aroma to completely translate to flavor, WMMC does it. This makes for a very satisfying and tasty joint. It also gets the user excited to partake as the aroma becomes more pronounced and complex after flowers are broken apart.
Effects: This strain feels just as an experienced user/grower would imagine. She is very indica-dominant, providing mostly anti-anxiety and analgesic effects. The effect can be felt very strongly in the body, providing powerful tingling and almost numbness throughout every extremity, and even thoroughly felt through all parts of the torso, neck, and abdomen. These pain-killing effects are pronounced in the body and are very long-lived. The peculiar and perhaps best aspect of this strain is that it does not inspire the user to sleep like so many other narcotic indicas. I really like that I can enjoy this strain early in the day without requiring a nap or making me feel brain-dead for the rest of the day. As someone with social anxiety, this is an amazing strain. It is very relaxing and "chilling." My only gripe is that it could use a touch more euphoria--however, it is extremely rare to find a strain that is equally euphoric as it is mellowing and calming. Overall, this strain is great for laying low, feeling relaxed, or chilling out without any of the negative aspects of over-consumption (i.e. sleep, paranoia, social awkwardness). I would also note that the potential medicinal value of this strain is off of the charts.
Overall Experience: My jars of this strain are quickly disappearing as it becomes an increasingly-popular choice of mine. The flavor is indeed satisfying and enjoyable, but is not incredibly unusual or exotic either. Pot snobs who want unique and out-of-this-world flavors will most likely not find what they're looking for with this variety. However, it contains many of the so-called tried and true flavors found in so many popular strains of cannabis. This makes it satisfying for your average user. The bag appeal of this strain is extreme both in visual as well as olfactory effect, and the yield for growers is relatively high. In my opinion, White Master Monster Cookies (this thing needs a nickname!) shines in its effects. I find the anxiety-quelling effects to be both medicinal as well as therapeutic, and has obvious recreational application as well. I think this is a very rare combination of calming effects with the feel-good effects associated with cannabis. This variety is a great example of what I would call an "all-purpose indica." It has amazing potential for medical applications as well as therapeutic and recreational applications. I will be germinating more of these seeds soon to find the ultimate chill pill of cannabis.
